Packer and Bjorn are Blessed

Packer Daniel Brant
and
Bjorn Daniel Anderson
were blessed today, Dec. 28, 2014 in Kari's Ward (Diamond Valley 2nd)
Both of their blessing outfits were made by aunt Jolene Ewell for their older brothers.
What precious little men they are!
 Giving Kendyl their sweet smiles.

Happy and good looking family!   Kari is blessed to be surrounded by such handsome boys!
It was a special day for Dan to have both grandsons named after him.

Our Christmas Eve Nativity

Our family hasn't done the nativity too often and when we do, it's not the most reverent experience; however, this year we decided to give it a try again.
Since we have only been blessed with precious grandsons,
little Liam was volunteered to be Mary.
Greg and Axel were our shepherds and Linkon was Joseph.  Quite a serious looking bunch.

Kendyl was the angel....the costume just doesn't fit like it use too :)
Kambree was the donkey.
And, Dan was our narrator.  The rest of us just enjoyed the show.

Liam made a pretty good Mary after all.  He took such good care of the baby.

Family Christmas Trees

Merry Christmas!!!!
 Greg, Kylie, Axel and Bjorn.
Axel is happy if he has someone's ear or his belly button.
Bjorn is the giver of happiness this time :)
Rob, Kari, Linkon, Liam and Packer with their Christmas tree in their Diamond Valley Home
Shaun and Katie celebrating their first Christmas.
They got their tree with Katie's family in Filmore canyon over Thanksgiving.
It was stuffed in the trunk of their car to get it home.  Looks pretty good!
Merry Christmas to the dearest family ever.  Love them all!!!

Christmas Eve Traditional Dinner

We had our 2nd annual Christmas Eve 7 course dinner tonight.
Our table is getting too small but what a blessing to have it surrounded by our beautiful family.
Heavenly Father is so good to us!
Bread course was Kendyl.  She homemade cresent rolls.
Kambree's appetizer was chips and salsa and cheese dip.
Katelyn made a delicious Enchilada chicken soup.
Greg and Kylie made a Strawberry Spinach Salad....always my favorite!
Shaun and Katie were the pallet cleanser course and they made lemon custard.  So tasty!
Rob and Kari took care of the main course, quite a job!  She made roast and gravy with potatoes and carrots.  The roast was perfectly tender.
And Erik made his invented recipe of Oreo chocolate chip cookies for dessert.  He needs to come home more often and keep me supplied :)  He gave me the recipe, but it's just not the same when he isn't here to enjoy them with us!
Dan and I had it easy this year....we were the drinks and furnished an assortment of flavors of Martinelli sparkling ciders.
Dan's parents were able to join us this year.  So fun to have them.
This is our Christmas table...the best gift anyone could ever ask for!
The little boys table.  What cuties!

Halloween Time!

I'm so grateful that we have cute little grandsons to enjoy Halloween since our youngsters are too old now.  Otherwise, this would have been just a normal day!
We didn't get to spend any time with Greg and Kylie and there little family up in Salt Lake but were able to enjoy the pictures they sent.

Axel with Duane and Kathy's (landlords) granddaughter
Baby Bjorn is only 20 days old.
Trick or treating in their new apartment building in downtown Salt Lake city.
With Rob and Kari still living in Diamond Valley, we were able to see them for a bit.  Kari made their costumes.  Mario, Luigi and baby Packer as Toad.  So cute!

Jolynn's (Rob's sister) baby joined them as well.

I kind of miss these days.
I remember that they were always hectic with daycare and everything and our kids never got new costumes.
They always had to dig in the old Halloween box in order to come up with something to wear, but they never complained and were pretty creative.
It was fun as I look back on it.

Happy Halloween!!!
Karson, Joy and Jordan at Disneyland for Halloween.
Joy is Maleficent, Karson is Gru and Jordan is Optimus Prim :)

Hermana Syphus Returns Home!!!!

It was an exciting and emotion filled day today.
It was all I could do to settle myself down.
Katelyn had served an honorable 18 month mission in the
Argentina Buenos Aires North Mission
and we were all so excited to see her.
She has loved her mission so much that she will surely have a hard time coming home.
My heart was aching for her but I was excited none the less!
Everyone waiting at the St. George airport for her plane to come into view.
She was due to arrive a bit after noon.

Liam, Jordan and Linkon.  Not too sure about all the excitement, but happy to be a part of it!
And there she is, right on time.  My heart was going through major flip flops!

Grandpa and Grandma Syphus down in the waiting area with Dan.

Talk about crying like a baby!  She walked through the doors and all I could do was sob!  She looked so beautiful and I was so happy to have her home.

Happy Family reunion!   Welcome home Hermana Syphus and WELL DONE Sweet girl!!!
So very proud of you!
