Halloween 2012

Since we've outgrown the trick or treating scene, we decided to have a Halloween dinner.  Pretty lame, but oh well ;)

It was fun and weird at the same time.
After dinner, we watched Snow White and the Huntsman for our Halloween movie.
Kari & Rob brought Liam and Linkon over.  Liam was a dragon and Linkon was a Knight in Shining Armor.
Liam's 1st Halloween and....

Axel's 1st Halloween in his pumpkin pj's.
SO CUTE!!!  How I love my grand babies!

White Family Halloween Party

Every year we try to get together for a White family Fall/Halloween party.
This year mom and dad took it over and it was amazing!  I can't believe the time my parents put in to make this get together so fun and so nice.  Mom was barely moving and didn't feel well at all but she was determined to serve her family.
She had Kami (who by the way has now permanently moved to St. George with her hubby Zack) hide a pumpkin in their back yard for each family.  When the family found a pumpkin, that was there's to carve.  It turned out that the older kids seemed to get into it more than the younger ones.
Now that Liam walks everywhere, Kendyl was his official baby sitter while Kari helped Kami with the Beitler Pumpkin.
Joel & Trish family pumpkin made by Matthew and supervised by Amanda.
Kyle and Dawna family pumpkin made by Britny and Breanna...a good pirate!
Karson & Joy family pumpkin made by CAPTAIN AMERICA!!
Kami & Zack family pumpkin made by Kari & Kami
Nik was the only one who came from Kerry's family, so he and Matthew combined efforts
Kambree made her own creation with a pumpkin from our garden and ....
Shaun, Katelyn & Joel made the Dan & Kim Family pumpkin.

After the carving, we had a buffet of soups, rolls and cornbread. Mom also made 3 different kinds of cupcakes for everyone to decorate as they chose and she made a Halloween treat bag for each of the grandkids.  WOW!  I hope I have half her energy when I'm her age.
She's awesome and it was a great time!!!

Rob & Kari Have a Home

Rob and Kari were able to buy them a home in Diamond Valley!  We are so happy to have them near us.  Their home has 4 bedrooms and 2 family rooms.  It's nice for their 1st home.  I'm hoping they'll just stay there forever and somehow add on to it as they need it.
This is the gate that goes into their yard.  Now all they need are a few horses....just what Kari always asked for growing up.  Glad Rob's in charge of her wishes and not me ;)
Their big move was in October.

Axel's 1st Week at his new home

Getting little tiny Axel home in his huge carseat was the first adjustment for him in his new home.
The nurse had to help us figure out how to keep him secure since the belts wouldn't adjust any smaller.  He looks like he's being devoured by the monster....poor little guy.
It took the new mommy and daddy awhile to adjust to the new little addition as well.
No more uninterrupted blissful slumbering for them.
Awesome beautiful family!
Only a couple of outfits fit Axel but he'll be grown out of them in no time.

Simply ADORABLE!!!

So amazing something so small and fragile can grow up and fit into his daddy's shoes someday.

We found the swing to be a blessing during the fussy hours.

Greg at Axel's 1 week Dr. appt.

What a fun week it was!!!!
