Kylie's Baby Shower

Katelyn & Kari gave Kylie a baby shower before she and Greg move to West Jordan for school.
We had frosted sandwich cookies and chocolate covered pretzels (blue of course) with a fruit bowl and veggie platter.
They made this banner that says "Axel Burton" and...
....... appliqued designs on these onsies.
SUCH TALENT!!!
The guests looked at Kylie's & Greg's birth info and then determined when Axel would be born, his height, weight and hair.  The winner will get the $25 Gift Card to Olive Garden.
Kylie had many many well wishers from friends & family and many cute gifts for our little Axel.

Sunday Afternoon on the Porch Swing

I found Kendyl and Kambree out back on the porch swing (my Mother's Day present from Dan) enjoying their Sunday afternoon.
Joel decided to join them; however, I think he was in it for the picture ;)
It's SO NICE seeing all 3 of them with happy faces....no fighting for the few seconds that the pic was being taken.

Kari and Liam took a turn, hoping to put Liam to sleep.
He perked right up when he saw grandma with a camera.
OOPS!

White Reunion at Woods Ranch

For our White family reunion this year, Dennis and Linda reserved Wood's Ranch on Cedar Mountain......
SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!
We had Pulled Pork Burritos and salads.  It was a bit of heaven!
All of my dad's siblings were able to make it to the annual reunion this year.
Dennis, Dad, Jolene, Elbert, Nora & of course Chris.
Chris made sure we all saw his "better side".

All of my dad's family live from Cedar to St. George except for Aunt Jolene who lives in Richland, WA.; however, it's not to often that they're all able to get together
There were crafts for the kids to take part in and Jordan made sure he had proof that he'd participated.
Kendyl & Kayelee spent their time climbing the hill and picking wild flowers.
Little did they know that it's against the law, especially since some the their flowers were the state flower;
the Sego Lilly.
No wonder my blog is kept private =)

Sunflower

Last fall neighbor Matt gave us some sunflower seeds.
The kids and I planted them along the outside of our whole fence line.
We have been so good at keeping the weeds down this year, that I'm sure that some of the "weeds" we hoed or sprayed were my hoped for sunflowers.
However, this one started growing and because of the business of life, it was never destroyed.
I was SO HAPPY when I realized it was indeed the one and only sunflower that survived.

Now if we could just get some rain to keep it alive.
